Australia is a lot like Dick Cheney

Supporters of US Vice President Dick Cheney hold a banner outside the hotel where he delivered his Australian American Leadership Dialogue in Sydney. Cheney on Saturday met Australian Prime Minister John Howard, one of Washington's staunchest allies, for talks likely to focus on troop deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan.

Australians, especially their Prime Minister, John Howard, like to talk tough when it comes to fighting the fight in Iraq.

Talking tough is what Dick Cheney is good at, too. We've all heard many times about his five deferments from serving his country when it was his turn to fight. In fact, his reply to the Washinton Post in 1989 on why he didn't serve in Vietnam, "I had other priorities in the '60s than military service," is classic Chickenhawk lore.

Australia must be overflowing with Dick Cheney types of men.

Australia, a country of 21 million people, has 550 troops serving in Iraq.

The way I see it, the U.S is 15 times larger than Australia, and we have 150,000 troops in Iraq - So until John Howard and the 'Aussies' have 10,000 troops in Iraq, doing their part, they should shut the fuck up.

Quit being a bunch of Chickenhawk Dick Cheneys.
