In watching Bush's SOTU address tonight I have to admit, I think his speech was probably his best speech yet. Granted, that's not a huge threshold, but nonetheless, he did okay, and he sounded a bit more conciliatory. But I guess that’s what a Democratic Congress gets you.
And then Jim Webb did the 'rebuttal' for the Democrats. Blew poor George right out of the atmosphere!
When it comes to the war in Iraq, Jim Webb destroys everything George Bush has to offer, because Webb warned against what’s happening in Iraq before we needlessly went there.
I like Jim Webb’s attitude; Fuck conciliation on the war in Iraq! As he said, "Bush should take the right kind of action, for the benefit of the American people and for the health of our relations around the world."
"If he does, we will join him...If he does not, we will be showing him the way."
