Reaping the benefits of a Democratic Congress

Certainly one of the biggest advantages of a Democratic majority in Congress is that the country will now be able to prevent activist judges from reaching the federal benches.

As studies have shown, judges who are nominated by Republicans are by far the most 'activist', and the country will certainly benefit now that Congressional Democrats will be able to prevent Bush and the Republicans from loading the courts with more of these obstructionists.


Bush Judicial Nominees Ask to Withdraw

In a concession to the Senate's new Democratic majority, President Bush won't rename four controversial federal appeals court nominees whose confirmations were blocked last year, Republican officials said Tuesday.
