First District congressional DFL candidate Tim Walz has pulled even with incumbent Rep. Gil Gutknecht, according to a poll released Thursday by Majority Watch.Tim Walz is an easy choice over Republican incumbent, Gil Gutknecht. Gutknecht is another Bush suck-up who has been wrong the whole time on Iraq, while Tim Walz has been there and knows the truth. Walz is demanding Iraqis stand up for themselves while Gutknecht, has only changed his mind recently after reading the polls.
The poll is a project of RT Strategies of Alexandria, Va., a bipartisan public affairs opinion research and polling organization, and Constituent Dynamics of Seattle, Wash. It uses an automated polling system to call people and ask questions.
The poll, conducted in Minnesota’s First District from Oct. 8 to 10, had 1,024 respondents, and a margin of error of 3.08 percent.
The poll shows voters favored Gutknecht 48 percent to Walz, 47 percent. The margin of error makes it a virtual tossup.
Gil Gutknecht, who swore in 1994 that he would term-limit himself to 12 years, needs to have Minnesotans hold him to that, and send his ass packing!
