"The party of F.D.R. and the party of Harry Truman has become the party of cut and run."There he goes again..."Five years after 9/11, second-guessing - cutting and running" ...blah, blah, blah...Who among us, besides half of the 40% still too embarrassed to admit they were duped...do not remember Bush himself admitting Iraq had "nothing" to do with 9/11?
Why does he keep bringing up 9/11 when facing criticism of his war in Iraq? Why, because he knows all he has left is the 20% of the population too dumb to know better and the other 20% too embarrassed to change so he might as well keep them fired up for the fall elections.
Scare them a little and they herd like sheep - and 42% is better than 31%.
The Bush and Republican rhetoric is so 2004 and I don't think independent voters will fall for it again this election. But, I guess we'll have to wait and see....
