A GOP presidential poll released this morning shows Michigan-born Mitt Romney is trailing in his home state, losing to former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum by 6 percent.

The margin becomes larger – 42 percent for Santorum to 18 percent for Romney – among self-identified Republicans, who also support Newt Gingrich over the Michigan native. Gingrich was the choice of 24 percent of the respondents.

It's hilarious that 'Michigan-born' Flipper Romney can't even beat Rick Santorum or New Gingrich in the great state of Michigan. I guess Republicans need to nominate someone but it doesn't matter who they do because they will get their asses kicked in this state come November.

Boy, it's been rough

Barack Obama was sworn in three years ago yesterday, January 20, 2009. The Dow Jones Industrial Average on January 20, 2009 was 7,949. Yesterday it closed at 12,720. That's a 60% increase.

In January 2009 the economy lost 780,000 jobs, and well over 2 million in Bush's last three months. Not sure what this month's job gains will be but last month there were 200,000. Democrats hope they increase and of course Republicans are praying for another recession.

The CBO projected this month that our deficit this year will be down to $973 billion. And of course, in January 2009 the CBO told us Bush's 2009 deficit would be $1.2 trillion. (note to teabaggers, $973 billion is less than $1.2 trillion)

We're out of Bush's criminal Iraq disaster, Osama bin Laden is dead, Michigan has the lowest unemployment since Bush was in office... GDP is growing when it retracted 9% in Bush's last quarter... yeah, it's been rough.

Let's vote for another fucking Republican loser like one of those four idiots left standing so they can implement more of those failed Republican policies and we can get back to being really miserable.

Let's say I have earned a good living over the years and I want to invest some money into a new retail store. The money I make at my new store doesn't get taxed at 15%. That kind of sweetheart deal is only for venture capital and private equity fund managers. But why not me? I'm taking a risk and I already paid taxes on that money I invested.

Fund managers don't even have to use their own money to get that 15% tax rate deal. All they have to do is call themselves, 'general partners' of a venture capital or private equity fund and they're in.

Things are improving even with Republicans fighting against it. There were 200,000 private sector jobs added last month but this country needs 250,000 jobs per month just to stay even and many more to make up for those lost from the George W. Bush Great Recession.

We're desperate. If all Republicans want is to make Obama look bad so he doesn't get reelected, then give them and Mitt Romney all the credit.

That headline and link is up over at Drudge. Gallup says that, '40% of Americans describe their views as conservative'. Ninety-nine percent of that 40% would call themselves, 'Reagan conservatives'. All Republicans - I never use the word 'conservative' when talking about wingnuts - refer to Ronald Reagan when they ignorantly claim their bona fides on conservatism.

Reagan wasn't a 'conservative' - at least certainly not a fiscal conservative. Reagan never came close to balancing a budget and in fact, he tripled our nation's debt in his eight years in office. He raised taxes 11 times on the middle class and gave us the largest tax increase in the history of our country.

The Tax Policy Center yesterday released an analysis showing that 2012 GOP presidential frontrunner Mitt Romney’s tax plan is heavily weighted towards the richest Americans, giving 50 percent of its benefit to those making $1 million or more. While millionaires would receive an annual tax cut of nearly $150,000, many middle class and low income families would see their taxes go up.

I'm always amazed at how stupid and uninformed the teabagging wingnuts I know are. Ninety-five percent of them make less than I do...most of them, not even half of what I do, but they're all going to be millionaires some day, of course.

Clearly, 'trickle-down economics' doesn't work and in fact, it's what destroyed this country's economy. But to the rightwing sheep - pathetic, guilt-ridden serfs - who for decades have voted against their best interests - that just can't be true.

It's going to be tough to be a great nation again when 45% of your population are so dumb, weak-minded and misinformed. Romney's father, George, was born in Mexico. That's because Romney's grandfather escaped to Mexico so he could continue his polygamist ways. Did I ever mention that Mitt Romney is a Mormon? I guess that shouldn't matter but we definitely need to examine his birth certificate to validate whether he's actually a Mexican or not.

I like talking about American ancestry and patriotism. Most of us Sons of the American Revolution and veterans do. Barack Obama has a lot to be proud of his American heritage too.
